Alice Kayibanda is a Kigali based photographer. Ever since her childhood, she loved looking at photographs. Eventually she took up photography after working several years in office. She has a penchant for capturing people in their environment, and tell their stories to various audiences through compelling visual storytelling. Alice works on various projects in Rwanda and abroad, with clients ranking from NGOs to governmental organizational, small business and individuals.
Her photos, whether landscape or portrait, black and white or color, are glimpses into the magical moments of African lives. She calls herself a street photographer and indeed her captures of everyday life in Rwanda are shocking in their everyday beauty. Whether photographing curious children or pensive elders, fisherman or women caught in the spirit, Alice inspires us by challenging us to think about best ways to tell a story, to offer our best work, to soothe souls in the sharing.
