Jennifer Msekwa is an emerging visual artist from Arusha, Tanzania. Professionally trained at the Institute of Art and Culture in Bagamoyo, her work centres around nature, emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation. She has participated in several collaborative projects and exhibitions – local and international.

"Using visual art to create positive change for various social issues ,nature and history is what inspires me the most, apart from being an ordinary visual artist I am also an environmental activist through my art pieces. Nature inspires me a lot, in each and every art piece I create, I use natural materials from my surroundings as a way of expressing the importance of preserving natural resources and environment in general , I will always use art to express,educate and inspire and make a difference"
